ICT FILTRATION starts manufacturing of mask and surgical robes for donation to hospital centers

The company, specialized in filtration solutions for the pharmaceutical and food industries, has reorganized its textile production lines and shifts to increase and expand the manufacture of sanitary material.

ICT FILTRATION has started the production of masks and surgical robes, intended to cover urgent demand of protective clothing items for the professionals of country health centers. The industrial production capacity of the company, located in Montgat (Barcelona), will help to alleviate the shortage of these protection elements and will respond to the appeal of health professionals in the absence of essential PPE resources (personal protective equipment) for safely care of patients with the Covid-19.

“We put our industrial capacity of textile manufacturing to the availability of society to face Covid-19 emergency. We expanded our production with masks and surgical robes, that will be donated altruistically and distributed among the professionals of hospitals” as explained by the management of the company . This measure, as decided by ICT FILTRATION management and supported by the entire technical and productive team, “is our way of collaborating to stop the spread of the pandemic and protect those who are taking care of our health,” says Xavier Bassas, General Manager.

Protection Measures
The company has updated, expanded and adopted the necessary and recommended by the health authorities measures to guarantee the continuity of production, the supply of health textiles and the protection of its employees, customers, collaborators and suppliers. In this sense, two factory shifts have been established, morning and afternoon, with independent work teams, with strict compliance with the rules of hygiene and distance between people. The technical and administrative departments have implemented teleworking and all external visits have been postponed until further notice.
